With Cxbladder you’re in safe hands.
Over 20 years of research has led to the development and evolution of a state-of-the-art test that works at a molecular level, measuring five biomarker genes to help rule out urothelial bladder cancer.
Our research shows that the messenger RNA (mRNA) levels within these five biomarker genes are different in urine from patients with urothelial bladder cancer than those without.1
Only a small mid-stream urine sample is needed for the Cxbladder test. Once it reaches our accredited laboratory, the urine sample is processed to extract and purify the mRNA present. We then use a technique called Reverse Transcription Quantitative Polymerase Chain Reaction (RT-qPCR) to amplify and measure the biomarker genes of interest.
It’s the quantity of these biomarker genes in relation to each other that we use to calculate our Cxbladder test scores.
